A few days back, we heard a news that calling rates to be reduced by 50% with the help of Voip in India. But government informed Parliament on Thursday that no final decision has been taken by the government so far on the issue of allowing VoIP.
VoIP helps to more than halve tariffs as it moves away from traditional costs and billing systems. Consumers are the main beneficiaries of such a regulatory shift. I just hope Trai launches Voip in India and the call rates get reduced.
