Doddle : Web Driven SIP Phone (Webphone)

A lot of voip providers have entered the market. Voip is full of voip providers offering PC to Phone calls, calls from your voip adapter, SIP phones etc.

Have you ever wondered, how are these calls routed. What modifications can be done so that calling procedure becomes easy. Well, answer lies in the SIP setting given by your voip provider. When you make a account with any voip provider, many of them offer you SIP settings. Now you can make calls either from their softphone (or access number whichever suits to you) or you can use those sip settings to make calls from your SIP configurs phone.

One such service named Doodling has launched a web based SIP driven phone. What does that mean..? You just have to enter the sip settings of your voip provider and you can make calls directly from the web (a very simple procedure). No sofphone to download, you can access your multiple accounts, plus you get to make PC to phone calls.

Web based sip phone (webphone) can be launched in your browser through a java applet. Simply you have to visit Doodle and java applet will load enabling you to make phone calls. With Doddle, VoIP is as easy as accessing a web site. Its a Free Online SIP VoIP soft phone web client. Asterisk, BT Talk, FWD, Tpad, VoipGate, VoipUser, Vonage are preconfigured thatmeans you just have to choose your VOIP provider, ente the setting and make cheap/free calls.

Looks a very nice voip application to me. I just hope to see more such services in future.

Hey guys, did you check out Reliance iCall ,the latest VoIP service from Reliance? All I had to do was to register on their website and then I started calling friends living as far apart as US and Africa. To my surprise, the voice quality was amazing and we guys had a virtual blast. I heard that this service is available free upto the 15th of Jan so I better start hooking up fast with long lost friends!
