Talkety is a web initiated service. Their is no need for any software. They allow you to make free phone to phone calls. In order to get free minutes, you need to register for their service. New users only get 30 minutes free calls.
While registering you need to enter your country. They allowed about 40 countries. However India is not included ( as expected), so I was not able to register.
After that you need to enter your phone number, you also need to verify your phone number.
To make sure you are in an eligible country to use Talkety, they will call you and ask you to enter the code displayed when you register. They will then call you.
After the process of registration, you will get 30 free minutes. To make call, you have to enter the destination number on their website.
I am not very sure, if they allow to call India using these free minutes, however you can call other countries. I request any user to confirm this.
