Want to make Free India to Australia calling

I found this question at one of the other voip forums (obviously not answered). So I thought to cover this question on my blog as it may help others too.


"Hi i am from India. I want to make free calls to Australia. Please tell which service is available, how can I use and what are its charges ?"


My answer to him -:
So you want to make free calls to Australia. The answer is to use Voip. Now you can either use a Free Pc to Phone calling service or you can even make use of Phone to Phone calling, another option would be using a voip adapter.


If you are new to voip (the person asking the questions seemed so), then I would suggest you to use Free PC to Phone calling service to Australia. This way it will not matter from where you are calling (this case India) but only thing which matters is the destination you want to call.

A lot of people have already shifted to voip for making free phone calls. Some people still use their mobiles to send sms, and end up paying bills. Well, its time for those people to use available applications to send free sms from internet.



We have already talked about many websites offering sms. A few months back, orkut (social networking website) launched its application feature. There are lot of interesting applications. One of them being by Mycantos.

Globe7 Lowers free minutes : Giving .02$ free per account.

I blogged about Globe7 last month, and how they were offering free calls all over world. Globe7 has been rated as no.1 Voip providers by many experts in this technology. Its been first service in its kind. They were earlier giving 5 cents whenever anyone register for new account.

But they have recently reduced the rates for calling India, they are now charging 4.95 cents per minute. So have they reduced the amount of free credit. They now give 2 cents free for making calls. So you wont be able to call India, though you still be able to call many countries using this credit. Your call will last for 2 minutes.

You will be able to call "free" to about 60 countries using the trick, but offcourse you can buy credits to make calls to other countries.

Procedure to make Unlimited Free Calls worldwide using Globe7.

Step 1

Step2
After downloading the software, register for Globe7 using the software. Enter your email address and other details. They will send your password to your email.

KiwiFone : Free Phone Calls to China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Other countries

By now we have already covered posts about many voip providers offering free calls. Kiwifone is a voip provider. They are under mobility pass.

They are offering both Free Pc to Phone calls and Phone to phone calls. These are however limited to some countries only. These countries include -: Free Call Trial applies to any land line and mobile calls to and within the United States, Canada, China, Hong Kong and Singapore or applies to landline calls to and within Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, UK, Germany, France, Italy.
This Trial is limited to 180 seconds per phone number. (calling or called)

For making free pc to phone calls, you need to download their softphone. you can make phone to phone calls directly from their website. This is a web initiated service.

They are now not allowing free registration. I tried to register with them, but when I clicked on the verification link in mail. They said that they don't allow free registration now.

So, if you are in a country marked as free, better use the service directly from their website.

Steps to make Free Calls

1. Visit Kiwifone.
2. On the main page, enter the number you want to call, and then your number.
3. Click call.
4. They will first call you, then your destination. You can talk for 3 minutes.
