VoipHit Voip to be suspended at year end

Yes you heard it right. VoipHit, a voip provider by betamax companies will suspend its services from next year. Betamax is closing voiphit services from 1st Jan next year. That means you need to consume all your credit till 31st December this year. Voiphit was not such a big hit, with call rates not the cheapest. Probably Rynga is a good option at this point of time.

Though betamax has sent emails to all users informing about it, but if you are not aware of information then you should consume all your voip credit with Voiphit before the service expires. We will keep you updated on this.

Want to make Free India to Australia calling

I found this question at one of the other voip forums (obviously not answered). So I thought to cover this question on my blog as it may help others too.


"Hi i am from India. I want to make free calls to Australia. Please tell which service is available, how can I use and what are its charges ?"


My answer to him -:
So you want to make free calls to Australia. The answer is to use Voip. Now you can either use a Free Pc to Phone calling service or you can even make use of Phone to Phone calling, another option would be using a voip adapter.


If you are new to voip (the person asking the questions seemed so), then I would suggest you to use Free PC to Phone calling service to Australia. This way it will not matter from where you are calling (this case India) but only thing which matters is the destination you want to call.


What you need...?
A computer with internet connection (broadband), headset and MIC.


Services offerig this for free...?
The first name which comes to my mind is Mediaringtalk (each call will last about 10 min, but you can call that number again and again, so its unlimited free calls to Australia).
Another voip provider offering free calls to Australia is any betamax provider. I use webcalldirect.com (make multiple accounts, each gets you 5 min free calls).


This way you can make unlimited free voip calls to Australia. If you want free phone to phone call, then Tabrio can be a good option.

Lost your money with Betamax voip : Are you satisfied with Betamax

Problems with Betamax voip
Few days back we poted about sip settings of new voip provider Smartvoip, a betamax company. But the thing is how many people are satisfied with Betamax companies. I know not many.

What "scam" according to people, betamax does is that they initially offer very cheap rates to countries like India, Pakistan and when many people have purchased credit, betamax just increases the rates without any notice. Though every voip provider has full rights to change its prices but what about thousands or lacs of people who just purchased credit in hope of getting cheap calls.

My question to people is what do you think is it right...?
Are you yourself satisfied with Betamax...?
Have you ever been cheated by Betamax..?

The first time you start the lowrate voip, you will be asked to choose a User Name and password. The User Name and password fields are required in order to use the lowrate voip. You can choose any name but it must be at least 6 characters in length. If the name is already in use by someone else you will have to try another name.

For a call to any regular phone, enter the desired number in the text box and click the dial-button. If you are calling a land line in one of the free destinations this include Pakistan,USA,Europe, etc the call will be placed at no costs at all.

I would not recommend purchasing any credits from any betamax provider as they are not trustworthy. However use their free service.
