Create modify VoIP SIP settings on Nokia S60 Mobile devices

We have many a times posted the SIP settings of various voip providers. We have been asking people to switch to voip for their calling needs, so that they can make free calls to Pakistan, Free calls to Cuba or any other destination.

Now if you own a Nokia S60 phone (series 60 phones viz. Nokia 6600 etc) then its possible for you to use SIP in your phone. You need to download SIP voip application for your mobile phone.

The SIP VoIP Settings application enables you to create VoIP settings on an S60 device supporting Nokia S60 VoIP Release 2.2 or 2.3. Once you've created settings, you can export, transfer, and import them to other S60 devices running SIP VoIP Settings.

The application enables you to create VoIP profiles and modify existing ones. Within a profile, you can create and modify VoIP parameters, such as speech-codec settings, and NAT-firewall-traversal settings, such as SIP domain-specific settings. You also can use an OMA Client Provisioning document to import and export VoIP profile settings.

The SIP VoIP Settings application is provided as a signed SIS file that you install on an S60 device in the usual way. It's accompanied by a guide that describes how to use the application and details the various VoIP and NAT-firewall-traversal settings that are available.

A lot of voip providers have entered the market. Voip is full of voip providers offering PC to Phone calls, calls from your voip adapter, SIP phones etc.
